About Us

About Us:

About 5 years ago Terry offered to help club members get their bikes ready for a monthly ride/meeting. When everyone showed up we had a patio full and much fun. Some wanted to learn and do it themselves, others just wanted watch and see and even more wanted someone to "help" them do it. From this one Saturday afternoon Terry became one of the go-to guys for service, advice and general information.

Terry decided after a couple of years of lying on the ground and kneeling all the time he would invest in a motorcycle lift. Now he could service bikes more comfortably and more efficiently. Then we invested in a No-MarŪ Tire Machine and our tire changing business rocketed. So now we take the leap of faith, we have opened Terry's Two Wheel Tire, Tune and Accessories, T4 for short.

Terry will be doing all the service and tire changes just like usual. But Joan will have a showroom filled with rider goodies, jackets, boots, gloves, helmets and other things. To start we will be carrying the Scorpion line of clothing, VaVaVroom t-shirts for women and men. Joan is striving to serve the ladies out there that may not have a place to try on and purchase women's gear instead of the typical uni-sex type gear.

Terry has a history with motorcycles. When he was in the Air Force stationed around the world having a bike on base and being able to travel was the only way to go. He got his first bike 1993, in Victorville, CA. He was bitten now. To support his habit he went to work for the local dealer when he was not protecting the country. When he was discharged in 1976 he rode that bike cross country from California to Alabama, in the days before riding gear, and it rained the whole way. But he made it to continue to ride for many more years. Meeting his wife of 29 years, Joan she joined right in with an Easter present of the best helmet out there of the day, Shoei. We rode until our son Matt was born in 1984.

When Matt graduated from high school he wanted a bike, knowing that Dad and Mom had ridden years before. We told him he had to save the money, and by darn he did. But he had no one to ride with so we jumped back in the saddle with a 2000 BMW R1100R. The rest is history, oh yes Matt now has a Ducati that is for sale, he wants to join the BMW community. Matt will be helping us out at the shop too.
